Wow,It has been a while. I have missed you all.Thank-u for all your prayers, cards and emails.They were so encouraging to me.I am doing so much better.It could have been a lot worse.I had a lot of help.My girls were so good.They were right there with me every step of the way.I am so blessed to have them.Everyday is progress.I thank God he is with me.We do not understand things sometimes, but we just know He is in control.I know this is short, but I will catch up very soon!I love you all and again, thank-u for all your prayers!May God Bless You all! News From A Far....

AN UPDATE FROM AMY; Faye's daughter

Hello, to all my mother's blogging buddies! I hope you are all well and thank you for keeping my mama inspired!
I am writing to give you an update and a prayer request. As you know several weeks ago, the doctor found "a spot" on Faye's lung, but miraculously, at her last visit, the x-ray showed nothing. Well, most likely, what happened was this "spot", which we now know was a blood clot, moved, and this movement caused Faye to have a stroke. The Lord intervened, one more time, and put the right people in the right place, at the right time.
Her sister-in-law saw the early warning signs and got her the immediate, life saving help she needed.... She was in the hospital for 3 days. The homecoming was a bit confusing for her, but the doctor says the "long term memory loss" should recover. Her left eye was drawn some, but the doctor believes the swelling and even the drawing should go away with time. Do pray for her leg, though. It is giving her a bit of trouble. Just enough to keep her from driving, but there again, the doctor says therapy should help.
She and Dwight are in Summerville, and was here when the stroke happened! I thank God us girls were close to help, and my older sis even came down from Chicago to help, as well.
They will be here in Summerville for a while to allow for rest and full recovery! I will keep her updated on all your warm comments!! She says she misses you and loves you all...


In the meantime, Dad, Dwight, has caught a bug... Probably a repercussion from the stress... This bug has turned into pneumonia. He is in need of your prayers, as well. He is a wonderful, strong man, but even they can get down, too. Pray for his spiritual and physical strength.

WHAT ARE YOU LEARNING?

YOU KNOW HERE LATELY HAS BEEN SOME TRYING TIMES FOR ME. I HAVE LEARNED A LOT IN THE PROCESS THO. I HAVE LEARNED TO BE STILL AND WAIT ON THE LORD. I HAVE LEARNED TO HAVE FAITH. I HAVE LEARNED THE CLOSER YOU TRY TO GET TO GOD, THE CLOSER THE DEVIL WILL BE ON YOUR HEALS! I HAVE LEARNED TO EXCEPT THINGS THAT I CAN NOT CHANGE. I HAVE LEARNED IT IS THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE THAT MATTER THE MOST. I HAVE LEARNED TO ONLY WORRY ABOUT TODAY, BECAUSE TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME. I HAVE LEARNED TO LIVE EVERY DAY AS THO IT WAS MY LAST, BECAUSE IT VERY WELL COULD BE. I HAVE LEARNED TO SET GOALS FOR MYSELF.I HAVE LEARNED TO LOOK AT THE GLASS HALF FULL, INSTEAD HALF EMPTY. I HAVE LEARNED SO WHAT IF I DO NOT GET ALL THE HOUSEWORK DONE IN ONE DAY, IT IS ALLRIGHT. I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO EXPECT SO MUCH OUT OF MYSELF. I HAVE LEARNED IF I FAIL IT IS ALLRIGHT, IM NOT PERFECT. I HAVE LEARNED TO TAKE LIFE ONE DAY AT A TIME. I HAVE LEARNED READING MY BIBLE EVERY MORNING HELPS ME GET THROUGH THE DAY. I GUESS THIS TO SOME OF YOU WILL SOUND OFF THE WALL! I WAS JUST THINKING TODAY ABOUT THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS AND HOW HARD THEY HAVE BEEN, AND THEN I GOT TO THINKING LOOK HOW MUCH I HAVE LEARNED THROUGH IT ALL. I AM SO BLESSED. I HAVE A PRECIOUS HUSBAND, FOUR BEAUTIFUL GIRLS AND TEN GRANDCHILDREN! I HAVE A LOVING FAMILY ON BOTH SIDES. AND HEY I HAVE ALL OF YOU MY SWEET FRIENDS.
THAT IS IF YOU ALL DO NOT TRY TO PUT ME IN THE LUNNEY BIN AFTER READING THIS POST! NO I WAS JUST WANTING TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS OF THE DAY WITH ALL MY SPECIAL FRIENDS, BECAUSE I HAVE LEARNED I CAN!

When I have a problem, I always think, what would mama have done. I just woke up missing you so bad today. The good news is I will see you again one day soon! I love you!
