PRECIOUS

I WOULD LIKE YOU TO MEET FOUR OF MY HANDSOME GRANDBOYS.THIS WAS EASTER SUNDAY.THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS.SUCH A BLESSING IN MY LIFE. YOU KNOW HERE LATELY, I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT PRAYER.I TRY TO PRAY EVERY MORNING AND EVERY NIGHT. YOU KNOW WHEN YOU DO PRAY YOU NEED TO BE AS HUMBLE AN THESE PRECIOUS LITTLE BOYS. MY MOTHER ALWAYS SAID, PRAY UNTIL YOU DO PRAY! SHE ALWAYS SAID THAT GOD WOULD GET GLORY OUT OF EVERYTHING HE DID. WELL THAT IS TRUE ALSO. WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND GODS PLAN SOMETIMES,BUT HE MAKES NO MISTAKES! SINCE MY NEICE PASSED AWAY,THEY HAVE BEEN FOUR IN OUR FAMILY THAT WAS SAVED.TRYING TO GET THEM IN CHURCH WAS LIKE PULLING TEETH! SO WE ALL DECIDED WE WOULD LEAVE THEM ALONE AND JUST START PRAYING FOR THEM.MY MOTHER-N-LAW SAID NOW HONEY YOU HAVE GOT TO PRAY IN FAITH,THAT YOU KNOW GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF IT! WELL THAT WAS ALSO TRUE.YOU KNOW I THINK THATS THE HARD PART FOR ME,IS FAITH! THE BIBLE SAYS FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED.IT IS SO SMALL,BUT THAT IS A LOT OF FAITH! IM SORRY I GET SO EXCITED WHEN I TALK ABOUT THIS.GOD HAS BEEN SO GOOD TO US.YOU KNOW THE PREACHER SAID SUNDAY,PEOPLE WOULD SAY, WHAT HAS GOD DONE FOR ME,THE QUESTION IS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR GOD? I HAVE LET HIM TAKE CONTROL OF MY LIFE.AND THATS GOOD, BECAUSE I JUST MADE A MESS OF IT.I WOULD ALWAYS TAKE IT TO THE CROSS TO LEAVE IT,BUT THEN I WOULD GO BACK AND GET IT! YOU CANNOT DO THAT. TAKE IT AND LEAVE IT.NOW IT IS HARD BUT THAT IS WHERE THE FAITH COMES IN.THE CLOSER YOU TRY TO GET TO GOD, THE MORE THE DEVIL WILL TRY TO TARE YOU DOWN.THIS I KNOW ALSO TO BE THE TRUTH. HE WILL COME THROUGH EVEN YOUR FAMILY.BUT I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO LET HIM WIN! I DO NOT KNOW WHY I GOT STARTED ON ALL THIS, MAYBE IT WILL HELP SOMEONE! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL MY PRECIOUS FRIENDS! HAVE A VERY BLESSED DAY!

  2. Beautiful family and great advice. I remember hearing a preacher say that until we learn to take authority over the devil, to rebuke him, that we will not see any victory in our lives.

  3. I know why....because this post was just what I needed to read first thing this morning! :)

I woke up this morning thinking about prayer and how many people have asked me to pray for their needs just in the past few days. I was also thinking about what an honor it is for someone to ask me....me....to pray.

It's so true about the mustard seed. If we just have that much faith God will work mighty miracles. He's answered so many prayers and continues to. He is so good.

I tend to be like you.....I lay the needs at the foot of the cross and then pick them back up. He wants us to leave them there. He died on the cross for that very thing.

Thank you for letting your fingers type away today writing what God laid on your heart. You are precious! I don't even know you very well, but I can tell your heart is genuine.

    Have a great day!
    Love,
    Valerie

  6. Good Morning Faye! Your grandsons are very handsome little guys. I can just imagine their energy and happy little faces as they play and make "nanna" smile.
Your post is very encouraging. After losing my mother and brother within a 2month period, my faith was very much tested and my anger increased as did my wanting to know "why?" He took them from me "all at once" but I know His plans are always perfect and in giving Him control, I made it through those very dark days. Yes, faith is like a mustard seed, but there are so many of those seeds. You'd laugh if you heard me pray...it's like I'm actually sitting having a conversation with God :0)
    Enjoy your day my friend!

  12. Hi Faye! I will certainly keep your daughter in my prayers. I can't wait to hear how the conference went! I am a special ed paraprofessional at a small grade school and I work with an 8 yr old boy who had PDD, ADHD, is legally blind & we are starting to work with him on some sensory integration challenges. He's an amazing young man. I love his spirit, his sense of humor, his quick wit and most of all I love how he strives to learn. He's got a hunger for knowledge and he pushes himself! I believe my learning challenge (dyslexia) was God's way of shaping me for His work with children with challenges.

My prayers will be with your family!

    Jana
